Mrs. Susan Pattinson
She is the co-founder of the non-profit organization Vaishnavas C.A.R.E. (Counseling, Assistance, Resource, and Education for the terminally ill and their family). She has written several articles on hospice & palliative care that have been published in various nursing journals. She has also authored of the book – The Final Journey–Complete Hospice Care for Departing Vaishnavas (Torchlight Publications – 1st and 2nd Editions) which is also a hands-on manuscript on the care for the terminally ill, their families and friends. She continues to travel across United States and other countries for giving hospice seminars with the goal of training teams & volunteers in assisting the terminally ill. For almost a decade, Susan assisted in building the Bhaktivedanta Hospice in Vrindavan by working closely with H. H. Giriraj Maharaj where they cared for dying patients at this 40,000 square foot facility. She has written extensive curriculum for training the staff and nursing attendants at the Bhaktivedanta Hospice, Vrindavan. In addition to the above, she is a Registered Nurse (RN) & a certified Hospice & Palliative Care nurse by profession.
